Professor Stefan Grundmann to Assist on MCL

Professor Stefan Grundmann, a highly distinguished academic corporate and commercial lawyer, will be involved with MCL teaching during his two week stay in Cambridge in late February and early March 2013 as part of the academic visitor scheme sponsored by law firm Herbert Smith Freehills.

Professor Grundmann is Professor of Private and Business Law at Humboldt University, Berlin. He is currently a fellow at the European University Institute and will shortly take up a professorship there. Prof. Grundmann is a widely renowned expert in commercial law, corporate law and private law more generally. He has written monographs and commentaries on banking law, contract law, corporate law and investment fund contracts.

While Professor Grundmann is in Cambridge he will participate in a number of Prof. Cheffins' classes in the Comparative Corporate Governance module. He will also present a Centre for Corporate and Commercial Law seminar on "New Perspectives of a Regulation of Corporate Group Relationships".
