What were you doing before the MCL?

Before coming to Cambridge I worked for about four and a half years as a banking and finance lawyer in a law firm called J Sagar Associates which is one of the leading national law firms in India.

What were your impressions of the MCL?

My year in Cambridge has been great. I found the MCL course to be extremely intellectually stimulating for me. I really appreciated the fact that the MCL course has a very practical aspect to it, given that I came here with experience as a practicing lawyer.

The course that I enjoyed reading the most was the Law and Digital Economy course, because it dealt with concepts like blockchain which are very new and, and yet nuanced.

What are your post-MCL plans and have they changed due to taking the MCL?

After graduating from Cambridge I am going to be moving to Clifford Chance's London office, and I'm going to be working as an associate in their global financial markets practice. This is something that I have been wanting to do for a few years now, and I believe that it's a natural progression in my career as a debt finance lawyer.
