What were you doing before the MCL?

I was working as an associate in a Band 1 competition law practice in South Africa.

What were your impressions of the MCL?

The MCL far surpassed my expectations. I was able to somewhat tailor my experience to competition law, whilst still obtaining an excellent corporate law education. From my perspective, the MCL was the perfect blend of academic and practical studies.

Notably, we interacted with professors and practitioners at the top of their field, all of whom were extremely generous with their time and willing to help with whatever transition a student was planning on making after the MCL.

The fellow students were the real highlight, however, with such a vast range of life and legal experience making the debates, conversations and dinners extremely enriching.

What are your post-MCL plans and have they changed due to taking the MCL?

I will be taking up a position as a competition law associate with Slaughter and May in London.
