What were you doing before the MCL?
Before starting the MCL course I was studying the Barrister Training Course with an integrated LL.M. at BPP University and was called to the Bar of England and Wales.
What were your impressions of the MCL?
The MCL course offers a fantastic opportunity for students to immerse themselves in the practical role and theoretical considerations of transactional lawyers, particularly through the Deals Course. The innovative approach of using actual legal specialists creates unique opportunities to question lawyers involved in the type of deal studied, as well as improve your network through events like the Alumni evening. Moreover, the one-term MCL modules allow students to explore areas of interest such as litigation or taxation.
What are your post-MCL plans and have they changed due to taking the MCL?
I intend to practise commercial law at the Bar with a focus on international commercial disputes and insolvency.
