What were you doing before the MCL?

Before joining the MCL I worked in one of the largest law firms in Mexico City, specialising in project finance and arbitration.

What were your impressions of the MCL?

I was pleasantly surprised by the MCL - the Cambridge experience is just amazing but also the course itself was very good for building my future prospects. When I was thinking about the courses I wanted to take for my my postgraduate degree, the MCL was definitely one of them because of the practical insight it gives you, and that was proven to be correct.

I particularly enjoyed the Deals course, as we got to interact with associates and partners from some of the biggest law firms in London. We also had a class about blockchain technology which is extremely relevant right now, so I think that shows how the MCL is up-to-date. It's a very complete course and the fact that it's a small cohort also makes it very personal. So overall my experience has been just fantastic.

What are your post-MCL plans and have they changed due to taking the MCL?

Before coming to the MCL I knew I wanted to return to work in a law firm and my plans are exactly that. I am going to New York to start working in a firm to specialise in transactional work, and hopefully work also with Latin America, so I am very excited about that.
