Bang Nguyen to lead teaching of Accounting and Finance

Bang Nguyen of the Judge Business School will lead the teaching of the Accounting and Finance module as part of the Masters in Corporate Law programme in 2014-15. He is taking over from Peter Szilagyi, who will be taking up an appointment at the CEU Business School in Budapest, Hungary.

Bang joined Judge Business School in 2010, having completed his PhD from HEC Paris. His research interests include corporate finance, empirical finance, and corporate governance. Bang’s has published articles in various distinguished journals, including the Journal of Financial Economics.

The Accounting and Finance module introduces MCL students to key corporate finance and accounting concepts. The module shows students how to interpret company accounts, a critical source of information to outside investors, and tackles key areas of company decision making in the financial context. The module correspondingly provides students with a great opportunity to familiarize themselves with the practical and legal aspects of accounting and finance.
