New MCL Practitioners Advisory Board members

The MCL Academic Team is delighted to announce that Emma Louise Jarvis and Sarah Shaw have joined the MCL Practitioners Advisory Board.

Emma Louise JarvisEmma is a senior corporate/commercial lawyer advising and coordinating legal support to UBS’s Group Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) function which is responsible for conducting UBS’s global M&A activity, including public/private transactions and joint ventures across all business lines in UBS.

Emma has extensive transaction management and strategic decision-making experience in M&A, joint ventures, private equity and commercial transactions across a range of sectors and geographies. Emma will be serving as Chair of the MCL Practitioners Advisory Board. She is succeeding Robert Hingley, who starting serving as Chair when the Board was established in 2012.

Sarah ShawSarah is taking over from Richard Uffland as Hogan Lovells’ representative on the MCL Practitioners Advisory Board. Sarah is a Corporate M&A partner in Hogan Lovells’ London office. She is an accomplished corporate lawyer with an impressive range of experience advising on private acquisitions and disposals, public mergers and takeovers, joint ventures, equity investments and other corporate transactions. Her broad practice and client base span a wide range of sectors and geographies, with a particular focus on the energy, infrastructure and real estate sectors.

Sarah is also Co-Head of the firm’s Global Energy & Natural Resources Industry Sector Group and a member of the Global M&A Leadership Team.
