The MCL programme will have a new module on offer in 2023-2024: ‘Private Equity Law and Practice’.
Private Equity Law and Practice aims to give students a detailed overview of the private equity industry from fund formation through to private equity exits. The course will balance a theoretical and academic framework with a practical grounding in private equity. Students will be expected to become familiar with the legal and regulatory rules that govern the private equity industry, as well as the theoretical and commercial considerations that impact the structure of private equity transactions and the behaviour of key players.
The module will be taught by Dr Bobby Reddy from the University of Cambridge and a former corporate law partner at Latham & Watkins LLP.
